It’s my birthday in a couple days

It’s weird coming up on the 250’th for the nation and realizing you’re going to outlive it. Not that I want to, just that with technofeudaleveragist pseudarchy quickly replacing our capitalism flavored democratic republic I don’t see the powers that be being the same people for very long. I think the billionaires won. I think they own us. I’m not going easy though.

Watched John Carpenter’s “They Live” last night. First time seeing it, fantastic film starting ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper as Nada, our main character and audience surrogate.

The film reminds me that revolutions must be swift and silent, because bloodshed begets bloodshed and the enemy has more blood to give than we do.

Whe I was around 13 or so I remember my father telling me “You’ll get more conservative as you get older” and I guess since western anarchism is rooted in conservatism he wasn’t completely wrong. I just want liberty and personal freedom. I want rights. I want the things this godforsaken country told me I was promised, that was my ‘god-given’ right as an American born citizen. Yesterday Clarence and his cronies decided that I don’t get those rights.

I fucking hate it here. If I could leave I would, but unfortunately the only way to leave the US without expecting a body bag on the way out is to pay some quarter million dollars and continue paying taxes forever, or risk being a fugitive. This country is a fucking scam. Burn it, start over. Try again.

[big sigh]

{bigger sigh]

So when do we rename it trumpland?

I miss the America they told me I lived in. They lied to me. They lied to you too. All of us played the fools.

Signing off,
Nora
